Pomegranate is a fruit that is rich in nutrients and vitamins. In native Indian medicine, pomegranate is used for its medicinal properties.
Ingredients: (Serves
Two)
Pomegranate seeds
– 2 teacups or 400 ml measure
Sugar – 2 teaspoons
Honey – 1 tablespoon
Pomegranate juice made with unripe fruit |
Method: Cut the
fruit and remove pomegranate seeds. Fully ripe fruit has red seeds. Blend the
seeds with sugar and 100ml of water. Strain through a sieve and collect the
extract. Add honey and mix well. Serve chilled.
Note: This recipe
also works well with semi-ripe pomegranate, the seeds of which are light pink in
color. Follow the same recipe with an additional teaspoon of sugar.
