Mixed Fruit Salad


Different fruits mixed together taste better and make an interesting, healthy dessert.  You can also dress it up with certain ingredients to enhance the flavor and taste of the dessert. Mixed fruit salad is an easy-to-make dessert that can be served after a special dinner.

Ingredients: (serves three)
Apple – 1 no, cut into small cubes
Sweet lime – 1no, peeled, deseeded
Banana – 1no, peeled, sliced
Dates – 4-5, deseeded and chopped
Raisins – 1 teaspoon
Cashew nuts – 1 teaspoon
Condensed milk – 2 tablespoons
Honey – 1 tablespoon

Mixed Fruit Salad
Method: Wash, peel and cut the apple into small cubes. Remove the skin and slice the banana. Peel, deseed the sweet lime, and remove the flesh. Deseed and chop the dates. Mix the fruits with raisins and cashew nuts in a bowl. Add the condensed milk on top to cover the fruits. Add honey over it. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. On standing, the condensed milk and honey trickle down to the bottom. Mix very well before serving. This dessert tastes best when served chilled.
