‘The Bird’ is one of my practice paintings. After sketching the bird, I have applied poster colors in ‘gouache’ or opaque method. White color has been used directly as well as to lighten the colors when required. I have also directly applied thick paint with a flat brush while working on the feathers, whereas the background was colored with a thin wash. However, poster color is not my favourite medium, as I find the manipulation of the paint rather tricky!
