Gaze (பார்வை)

For the exhibition on ‘Mother and child’, I selected those candid moments that capture the essence of motherhood for my compositions. This work titled ‘Gaze’ depicts a baby looking over the mother’s shoulder, gazing at the outer world. I tried to portray the contentment and comfort in the child’s face. This painting is executed with Indian ink on textured paper, using dry brush technique. I love this work because I have kept the brush work to the minimum, yet managed to capture the mood of the moment.

Unfortunately, I do not have quality photographs of all the paintings that were displayed at this exhibition. Please bear with the quality of the picture.
