Afternoon tea time over the weekend, invariably calls for some special snacks. If you want avoid deep fried items, here is a healthy snack, which you can make in a jiffy.
Ingredients:
Peanuts – ¾ teacup
or 150ml measure*
Finely
chopped onions – a small hollow ladle or 50ml measure
Salt – to taste
Sugar – ¼ teaspoon
(optional)
Lemon juice –
1 teaspoon
Chilli
flakes – 1 teaspoon
Oregano – a pinch (optional)
*Use roasted peanuts available in the market.
Masala Peanut Snack (மசாலா நிலக்கடலை) |
Method: Mix peanuts, salt, sugar, chilli flakes, onions,
oregano and lemon juice very well in a bowl. Allow it to stand for 5 minutes. Serve as a teatime snack.
