Banana-Papaya Twosome

Banana is rich in carbohydrates, vitamins C & B6 among others, anti-oxidants, minerals especially potassium and soluble dietary fiber. Banana is a popular home remedy for constipation, while it can also relieve hyper acidity or 'heart burn'.

Both banana and papaya are easily available fruits. Papaya, though a low-calorie fruit, is not quite popular owing to its underlying musky taste. Banana on the other hand is a high-calorie fruit and has a sweeter taste. Combining papaya with a sweeter fruit like banana makes it more acceptable. ‘Banana-papaya twosome’ is a delicious dessert that can be served after a wholesome meal. Try this recipe.

Ingredients: (serves two)
Papaya – peeled, cut into small cubes, 1 teacup or 200ml measure (பப்பாளிப் பழம்)
Banana – 1no, peeled, sliced (வாழைப்பழம்)
Honey – 2 tablespoons
White sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon
