Sweet 'n' Sour Apple Salad


Fruits can be dressed up with interesting ingredients and served as salads along with your meal or as desserts after the meal. Here is an unusual salad that tastes great.

Ingredients:
Green apples – 2 no, cut into thin slices
Pepper corns – 4-5 no, crushed coarsely
Sesame seeds (white) – 1 teaspoon
Honey – 2 tablespoons
Salt – to taste
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves – a few

Sweet 'n' Sour Apple Salad
Method: Wash, core and cut apples into thin slices. Mix with lemon juice to prevent browning. Heat a kadai or wok, add the sesame seeds and roast till they start to turn brown. Switch off the fire and allow it to cool. Add salt, sesame seeds and pepper powder to the salad. Mix well. Transfer to a bowl. Top it with honey. Garnish with coriander leaves. Keep the bowl in the freezer compartment for 10-15 minutes. Serve chilled. Mix well with a fork before serving.
