Still Life - Mangoes

Mango is as delicious as it makes a great subject for painting. The golden yellow color of the ripe mangoes juxtaposed against the blue drapery created an interesting still life composition. In this work, I had used acrylic paint on canvas, with a palette comprising permanent yellow medium, titanium white, yellow ochre, sap green, ultramarine blue and crimson lake. I used bold strokes with flat brushes of different size.

Bear with the photograph, as some amount of light reflection could not be avoided.
