Each and every one of us has multiple facets to our personality. Professional facet easily gets expressed through our work. Whereas our personal interests, passions and hobbies are relegated to the back seat as we get busy with our career and family. A personal site serves as a platform for unveiling these equally important, hitherto unexpressed facets of our personality.

About Rathika's Nest:
Recently, while sifting through some documents, I came across an old diary in which I had jotted down recipes as told by my grand mother. This diary was more than two decades old with yellowing loose papers. It had served me as a ready reference cook book for long. Considering the state of the diary, I decided to document the information contained in it, for future use. Instead of storing it on my computer, I thought it would be better if the information could be shared with others as well. Consequently "Rathika's Nest" was born. This site will help not only to share the knowledge and information received from previous generations, but also will serve as platform for my creative expression.
"Rathika's Kitchen" covers only vegetarian cooking. Though my "Grandma's Recipes" represent typical South Indian Brahmin cooking, "My Recipes" cover a wide variety of vegetarian recipes. Other sections cover my work as an artist and creative writer, as well as my thoughts and opinions.
